Swimming Sports and House Chant 2026
Swimming Sports and House Chant
Swimming Sports
Last week we held our Year 7&8 and Year 9-13 swimming sport championship days. Both days were a great success despite a tight racing schedule, and it was a great experience for all.
This year we had notably high involvement in our non-championship races for all year levels, which was great to see. Thanks to all the teachers and house captains that contributed to two successful and positive days of swimming.
Congratulations to Basil House for the highest points overall, Stephen 2nd, and Marcellin 3rd.
House Chant Competition
During the Years 9-13 Swimming Sports, we held our annual house chant competition. The Year 13s stepped it up this year with everyone outfitted in elaborate house-coloured costumes, setting the stage for an incredible display of both original and traditional house chants from each house.
Drums, tambourines, barrels, and even a saxophone featured, accompanied by the boys’ thunderous voices, choreographed by our house leaders into outstanding routines. Of particular note this year was Stephen House getting their separated Year 7 students to join in from the above bank, and Pompallier ending the competition off with a whole-school chant.
Congratulations to Stephen House for taking out the win, Coolahan in second and Pompallier in third.
