This scholarship is open to students whose parent/caregiver is employed as a First Responder. We recognise the selfless service and dedication First Responders provide to New Zealand communities.
First Responders are defined as staff from the New Zealand Defence Force, police, nurses, and emergency health and fire services.
The scholarship is intended for families in need of financial assistance and covers 100% of school Financial Contributions for the duration of a student’s education. Initial uniform costs covered (up to $1,000) and sporting fees (up to $500 per annum) are also included.
Other costs (Attendance Dues, device and stationery requirements, and resource/course/subject fees) are not included and are the responsibility of the parents/caregivers. Boarding fees may be considered if the student lives outside the Auckland area (from Year 9).
At least two First Responder scholarships will be available each year.
