Students benefit tremendously from living in a safe, comfortable and caring home environment, and improve their spoken English and experience the kiwi lifestyle by participating in daily home life.
Hosting is a great opportunity for those in your family to learn about a new culture while sharing your own, and to make friendships that can last a lifetime.
Remuneration is fortnightly in advance, and fees are reviewed annually for adjustment.
A host family needs to be able to provide:
- A warm, light bedroom with study desk, chair and lamp
- Wi-Fi Internet
- All meals and snacks including school lunches
- Close proximity to school or on the school/public bus route
We offer both short term and long term hosting options. Alongside our day students, we have international boarders who need a place to stay during the term holidays while the College hostel is closed.
To apply to become a homestay host, please complete the application form which can be found below. All hosts are additionally required to complete a Police Clearance process form, which is mandatory in New Zealand.
