House Haka 2026
2026 House Haka Competition: A Triumph of Mana and Tradition
This week, the college grounds were transformed by the raw energy and passion of our annual House Haka competition. While the calibre of performance across all houses was exceptional, Marcellin House rose to the occasion with a commanding display, ultimately being crowned the 2026 Champions.
Delivering a fierce show of pride and mana for both their house and Sacred Heart College, Marcellin’s execution of the school Haka, Ko Wai Rā, was truly transcendent. Embodying their namesake’s values of "Love of Work" and "Family Spirit," the men of Marcellin demonstrated that strength lies in brotherhood, presence, and unity. The performance also powerfully captured the essence of the school Haka, which speaks to our past, present, and future success and leadership. Their victory reflected a collective spirit that resonated deeply with everyone in attendance.
We extend our sincere gratitude to our judges, staff, and Senior House Leaders for their guidance and expertise. We congratulate Marcellin House on their hard-earned success and thank all students for upholding our heritage with such pride, mana, and dignity.
